Day 1 

Arrival in Addis Ababa

Traditional Welcome:

Day 3

Addis Ababa City Tour & Market Shopping

Today is a full city day tour of Addis Ababa. Immerse in the vibrant culture as we sight see!

Tour Highlights
  • Visit to Selassie Cathedral, resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie
  • ​Visit National Museum of Ethiopia to see “Lucy” — one of the oldest hominid a human ancestor who lived in Ethiopia about 3.2 million years ago
  • Guided sightseeing of Entoto Park with panoramic city views, cultural pavilions, and artisans​
  • Spend the rest of the day shopping at Shiromeda and Merkato open-air market for clothing, souvenirs, arts and crafts. 
  • Return and leisure in the evening as you please

Day 4

Flight to Lalibela & Leisure Day

  • Morning: Take a flight (1 hr) to Lalibela , known for its ancient rock-hewn churches. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and settle into your surroundings.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy a leisurely day to explore Lalibela at your own pace—wander the charming town, visit local markets, or simply unwind with a soothing spa treatment to rejuvenate your body and mind after travel.

Day 5

Morning Leisure + Afternoon Rock-Hewn Churches Tour

  • Spend your morning at leisure
  • In the afternoon tour of the famous 12th-century rock-hewn churches (UNESCO World Heritage Site), including the iconic Bete Giorgis (Church of St. George)
  • Explore the clusters of churches carved directly from volcanic rock — a pilgrimage site and cultural treasure

Day 6

Traditional Cooking Class Experience

  • Experience the vibrant flavors of Ethiopia in our immersive cooking class. Under the guidance of a skilled local chef, you'll learn to make injera, prepare traditional dishes using fresh, authentic ingredients
  • Finish with a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony to close the class—a cherished cultural ritual that offers a warm and authentic experience.

Departure

  • Fly back to Addis Ababa  Airport (1 hr) and continue to your international flight thereafter. Our team will be on hand to ensure smooth travel connections and assist with your luggage.

  • All online payments will incur a $3 transaction fee.
  • All package rates are based on double occupancy two people sharing therefore you will be paired with another solo traveller.
  • Flights to and from the trip destination is not included in the package cost and must be arranged individually by participants. We provide a complimentary service for flight search to all our travellers
  • To secure your spot on this unforgettable adventure, a deposit of $150pp is required to confirm your reservation, and the remaining balance to be paid in monthly instalments from the dates stated.
  • Health and Safety: Your well-being is our priority, and we will adhere to all necessary health and safety guidelines during the trip. We recommend participants to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and trip cancellations (recommendations to be provided after sign up).
  • Cancellation Policy: All payments are non-refundable however transferrable to other trips at latest 12 weeks before travel.
