Why I started Tin TripsAfter solo traveling the world for nearly 10 years and having formed lasting friendships with female travelers during my own adventures, I grew to value shared experiences. It became clear that within the black community, many are eager to connect with like-minded individuals.
Family backgroundI've been privileged to enjoy a culturally vibrant upbringing, enriched by the diverse influences of my African roots. Despite growing up in the UK from the age of 12, I was originally born and raised in the motherland, with my family being from Zimbabwean and South Africa.
As of 2023, I am also a first-time mom to baby Eniola who is also of Nigerian roots! I have been enjoying my travels to visiting family and exploring Nigeria. Tin Trips has officially launched Nigeria as part of our "West Africa Rediscovered" series - which offers group trips to Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal! (See calendar dates here) If you would love to travel with your kids and family, also check out our new group trips for families. We have Kenya with the Kids in Summer 2025! Academic & Professional BackgroundMy academic journey includes a Bachelor's degree in Business & Marketing (BA), thereafter I spent the next 5 years, working for Walgreens Boots UK. I later resigned in my position then as a Project Manager, to embark on my postgraduate studies, where I graduated with a first class in Events & Tourism Management from the esteemed Birmingham University in United Kingdom.
